Section 6: Resources and learner support

6.1 Please describe how the centre carries out or aims to carry out the following:

Recruitment – provide information, advice and guidance about the qualifications to learners and potential learners *

Initial assessment – match learners’ development needs against the requirements of the qualification(s); ILP (Individual Learning Plans); recognise prior learning and achievement where appropriate *

Induction – inform learners about their programme of study before the start of the qualification *

Review – provide learners with regular opportunities to review their progress and goals and to revise their assessment plan accordingly *

Learner support – identification of requirements of learners and how these will be met *

Progression – provide appropriate information, advice and guidance on pathways of progression from LRN awards to other programmes and levels of learning *

Section 7: Satellite offices and partnerships

7.1 LRN approves a centre based on its current location. If you have another centre outside your current operating area and wish to offer LRN’s qualifications there, please provide details (or write “None”) *

Section 8: Delivery, teaching and IQA staff

Section 10: Declaration and sign off

10.1 Lack of registrations – LRN will carefully monitor the level of registration of new centres. Should you fail to register learners within the first 6 months of approval, LRN will suspend the centre, pending a review of activity.

10.2 Declaration – The information provided above is a true and accurate reflection of all information known to me, at the date indicated below. Should I become aware of information which is within the purview of LRN, I will make that information available to them, without delay. Failing to provide such information may delay or provide sufficient cause to LRN to reject my application.
