About IELCA

International English Language Competency Assessment (IELCA)

The IELCA exam evaluates four key aspects of English language proficiency: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. It offers two distinct pathways – Academic and General Training. The Academic pathway assesses a candidate’s ability to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate courses at educational institutions, colleges, and universities in English-speaking countries. On the other hand, the General Training pathway assesses English language skills within a broad range of contexts, making it suitable for individuals seeking secondary education, immigration opportunities, work experience, or other training purposes.

The IELCA GENERAL MODULE is now universally accepted by all IRISH universities and recognized by the Irish Immigration authorities. Additionally, it is expected that the IELCA GENERAL MODULE will soon be accepted in CANADA for immigration purposes.
